Hey, thank you so much for revisiting Money Grows on Trees! 😁 I'm glad you like the improvements, and I'll take a look at the click to make everything as snappy as possible. The jam has been an excellent source for feedback and it was a lot of fun to implement most of it progressively, something you can't do in a normal jam. This is probably the last "small" version of the game before I make it into something bigger.
And by the way, congratulations for your second place! What you have is really solid. I'll definitely play more, I'm very curious about that go segment 🤓
Love Gdev, and really like the look and style of the game it feels, kind of slow and the resolution is just odd looking imo , i love clicker games and think this is well done, and think there is a lot of stuff that could be done with it, good job
Thanks! The game was kind of a mess when I submitted it for Ludum Dare but I've been incorporated feedback ever since and it's slowly taking shape.
By odd resolution, do you mean how blurry the sprites are in fullscreen? If you have advice on that, I'll gladly take it :)
And by slow, do you mean slow to start? Since you played, I shortened the "Apples phase" by reducing their grow time from 5 to 3 seconds, I think it'll help jumpstarting the game without ruining the balance too much.
the odd resolution i think was just a me problem as i have an ultrawide monitor and full screen the game, so i think it was just me using an odd resolution my self./
as for the slow start, i think that there should be a fast way to get the first upgrade that will then make the player want to see what is next, like a new seed that offers something different. more money or some kind of power up.
Hey this game is cute and I really, Really appreciated that it has a time limit. however mouse was slow during the course of the game and I'm not quite sure why
Hey, thanks a lot for your feedback! I updated the game to include a lot of big and small fixes. The music volume is lower in that version, but adding a slider is on my todo-list.
I occasionally experienced lagging when testing the game but not every time. It may only occur in the web version, but I'm not sure. I'll check if I can optimize things!
: D to give some more detail: It lagged the entire game, however at the beginning it was very slight, to where I thought it was an added challenge. As I added more trees, and fruit to them, the lagging significantly increased to where the mouse was teleporting.

Nice, the game improved a lot during the jam!
Now it's way more fun. :)
Sometimes when there's a lot of action it seems that some clicks are ignored, that's the only minor problem I've encountered.

Have fun with the Go evening. :) It will differ a lot, depending on your route...
And keep me updated about your game!
